Ellen has a degree in early childhood education. She worked 20 years in home health care and insurance. She recently moved back to the US after living 4 years in Costa Rica. She worked with the schools in Costa Rica, helping them with their outreach program (assisting the schools to get books and supplies) through the Canadian Association and the Women's Club. Ellen was involved with the English Club, helping Costa Rican English teachers learn proper English pronunciation to help their students. She also had a catering business in Costa Rica. She is involved in political organizations and has campaigned for candidates.
