E-mail: Contact 		Those who would deny the presence of pets to their neighbors are, obviously, unaware of the health benefits to humans. The statistics clearly show that pet owners live longer! As long as pet owners act responsibly, there is no down side to having pets. Keep up the good work!!

E-mail: Contact 		An artivle in the newspaper lead me to this site. I too live in a condo although able and not elderly, I do have 2 children who'd like a pet at home.

Unfortunately I had to leave my (under 6lb) chihuahua, in which i've had for 5yrs, behind due to the 'no pet' policy. Fortunately he was able to stay with family where I lived previously. What I can't understand is what's the big deal with the 'NO cats, birds and/or fish.' I understand possibly no noisy barking dogs, or people that dont clean up after their pets outside. But not even a quiet, mess free pet like a fish, or a pottie trained cat????

I really do hope that while still in my place, I'll get to see that change. Good luck and THANK YOU to all that are pursing this matter. Especially for those that are in need of a companion.

E-mail: Contact 		Older people love pets and it has been proven that people are happier when they have a pet for a companion. Who exactly is trying to keep pets out of condos? Sign the petition to keep our pets in condos. These pets are family members and have a right to be loved by everybody no matter where a person lives.

E-mail: Contact 		I am at a loss, going 'round and 'round on the internet.

I'm on SSDI for a mental disability, complicated by a physical one. I want a companion dog (although the necessary walking of the dog, since I live in a condo, would be good for my physical health as well.)

The CC&Rs in my condo building prohibit pets except fish and birds. When I agreed to them, in 1990, I was not disabled.

I have been told that (perhaps with help from the Adults With Disabilities Act) that the condo association can be forced to make an exception for a homeowner who can document (no problem for me) their disability and how the potential pet would help the person cope with their disability.

Can anyone point me in the direction of WHERE/HOW TO BEGIN THE PROCESS?

E-mail: Contact 		After taking in a stray dog, I realize what a tremendous health benefit a pet can be. My blood pressure has dropped, and I'm getting more exercise than I've had in 5 years. Since a number of seniors move in to condos as they get older, I believe it's critical that they be allowed to keep pets. Allowing pets can save lives!

E-mail: Contact 		After having our last dog for 15 wonderful years, we thought we'd never want another. Now we find life without a canine companion terribly lacking. Nothing fills that place in our hearts like a special dog. Unfortunately, our condo board vehemently opposes animals of ANY kind. I look forward to the day when the law is changed so that responsible people are no longer denied something that many of us consider a need and not just a want. Thanks for everyone's good work.
