At the City Commission meeting on October 11th the commissioners unanimously and favorably accepted the Neighborhoods and Community Affairs Committee's recommendation to make permanent the pet friendly policy for the beach walk between 14th and 21st streets on Miami Beach.
Congratulations to everyone for our successful efforts in reaching our desired community goal. Be sure to continue your support for other dog related issues and interests such as the dog beach that is currently under consideration.

Yvonne Because of the hard work of the Woof Patrol, the permanent pet friendly beach walk has turned out to be a non controversial item that the administration and the Commission now both support.
The Commission accepted the report of the Neighborhoods Committee, so the permanent pet friendly Beach Walk will now go into effect.
Congratulations
Sincerely |
Special thanks to Pomo the inspiration and mascot of WOOF Patrol.

WOOF Patrol story: “It was 3 a.m. and I couldn’t sleep. Miami Beach dog owners were on the verge of having their pets banned from the beach walk. Pomo loves the beach walk. It’s his daily routine. It’s the place where he meets up with pals like Ruben and Winston, also Shih Tzu’s.
I didn’t know what to do. Pomo was sound asleep on his back in his tiny snuggle bed. His feet were up in the air and his belly exposed. That’s when my imagination went off. I saw his feet marching and WOOF Patrol was born.” … Yvonne Conza, Founder of WOOF Patrol |

“We have never seen a more dedicated and caring effort shown from a community to reach their goal.”
WOOF Patrol is leading the pack as volunteer community leaders.

keeping the beachwalk pet-friendly.” … Ellie Brecher, general assignment reporter for The Miami Herald. www.crazyforcritters.blogspot.com
