2/18/2012, 10 AM, Walk for the Animals, Bayfront Park, 301 North Biscayne Boulevard, Miami, FL. Check-in is at 8:30 am, entertainment from 9:00 am 'til noon.  The one-mile stroll around the park (with or without a dog) begins at 10 am. 3/10/2012, 12 noon, Fort Lauderdale St. Patricks Day Parade, downtown Fort Lauderdale along Las Olas. Come watch and cheer for the Citizens for Pets in Condos float - or, better yet, walk in the parade with your dog with our float. 8/12/2012, 10 AM - 6 PM, 2nd Annual Animal Adoption Day, (indoor, air-conditioned!) War Memorial Auditorium, 800 NE 8th St (south of Sunrise Blvd, off of Federal Hwy), Ft Lauderdale, FL. A DAY FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY (printable flyer). Fun, Food, & Live Music and Entertainment All Day. Friendly and available adoptable animals from many different shelters and rescue groups (all fixed and with shots). Information tables, exhibits, and a GIANT raffle. More info to come. Jazz Brunch the first Sunday of each month.   Picnic baskets, blankets, chairs, dogs, children and people of all age groups blend into one large Jazz Appreciation Fest. Every Saturday, Whole Foods Market, 810 University Drive,Coral Springs, FL 33071, is having dog adoption events. The store offers anyone who adopts a dog from an animal shelter a complimentary "Rescue Me Doggy Bag" full of pet products while supplies last.
